    Description

You are bidding on 1914 (3-1/2" x 5-1/2") postcard, mailed from DENMARK, and signed by Venezuelan pianist Teresa CARRENO (1853-1917) and Henning BERGER (1853-1924).
Henning Berger came to America at a young age and wrote short stories of life in America. He sold them to Danish newspapers. He wrote the play, "The Flood," which was well received. He was put up in the Anglais hotel in Stockholm where he accidently shot his fellow author, Hans Nordlindh on October 2, 1908  shortly after the opening of the play.
Berger was one of the first Swedish writers to write directly for film.
Carreno signs the card, "To my friend, O. Dalstrom from Terresa Carreno," written in black ink on a dark card in right bottom corner.
The postcard was sent to O. Dalstrom, Esq., in New York City by Henning BERGER. Berger's signature is written in black ink under Carreno's.
Two corners of postcard are chipped. The message Berger sends to O. Dalstrom Esq. is in German.
Message side of postcard shows fading
