    Description

Aerial Cutlery Manufacturing Company Antique Canon City Colorado Pictorial Knife
This is an exceedingly rare pictorial 3 blade and 1 nail file pocketknife made by the Aerial Cutlery Manufacturing Company. One side of the handle says L.W. Eggleston Canon City Colorado and has a picture of what looks like flowers. On the other side of the handle is a picture of the Colorado state seal and another small image I can make out. The handles appear to be made of celluloid. Nickel/Sliver bolsters and 3 pins. Brass liners
Finding information on L.W. Eggleston proved to be exceedingly difficult and this name could not be found in Canon City directories from 1912 and so on. My guess is this knife dates to the early beginning production period of this company to around 1912-1920.
The tang stamp on the largest blade is hard to read but it does say “Aerial CUT MFG CO Marinette WIS”.
    Dimensions: Tang stamp drop point = 1.7”, Small drop point = 1.5”, Talon blade = 1.4”, Nail file = 1.5” Closed = 3.0”
